Will Zozibini-Shudufhadzo be the next Dayana-Stefania?

Do you think South Africa might pull a Venezuela (2008 & 2009) back to back win at 69th Miss Universe?

Will Zozibini-Shudufhadzo be the next Dayana-Stefania?

Postby ajsy0203 » Sat Oct 24, 2020 11:49 pm

Now the new Miss South Africa is chosen, will Shudufhadzo Musida put South Africa being the 2nd country to get the back to back victory at the upcoming 69th Miss Universe since Venezuela in 2008-2009 and 3rd country to win 3 crowns in 4 years in Big 5 pageant if she will choose Miss Universe over Miss World and Miss Supranational? What should Shudufhadzo do to prevent from being another Tamaryn Green where she almost got the back to back victory only to be blocked by Catriona Gray?

I sure hope not. I’m tired of IMG’s “confidently beautiful” campaign that deemphasizes beauty to the point that they crown women who aren’t even pretty; yet alone being considered the most beautiful woman in the world. I miss the days when Miss Universe was a beauty contest.

Nope, not at all. I love Zozibini but I’m not a fan of the new Miss South Africa or whoever will be Miss Universe South Africa (they should have just done the previous format instead of this picky-picky thing).

I don't see her winning. I mean, 3 South Africa winners in less than six years of IMG is a bit too much, but never count them out. Zozi was not even on the list of many but she won Miss Universe.

I think her body is her downfall, the hips are too big. What is happening to South Africa, are they starting to make a trend??? from short hair to bald??? are they trying to make a statement that this time BALD is beautiful? from black is beautiful??? that is too much...

Well, it is still early to tell, and we dont know what the other criteria MUO is looking for this year pandemic. Congratulations to her.

I agree with you, MUO should realize that this is Miss Universe and not some other pageants. Miss Universe have long established a reputation for sending sensible woman with great showmanship who happened to be FACIALLY SUPERIOR.

enough of this INNER BEAUTY and STRONG MIND BS! if its just about being witty ans smart then they better remove the swimsuit and evening gown segments and let every country send their best scholars to compete.

I think CHI will hallucinates this time, they already loss so much from the current Miss Universe. How can they sell their products with a short hair. and much more if b2b happens they will just throw their curly hair machines to trash. unless the new SA grows her hair. Just kidding hehehe

To me she is the most queenly/regal looking delegate if she's for Miss Universe 2020, and seems to have a very likable+relatable+humble personality. Very pleasant when speaking, the judges will fall in love with her once they start a conversation with her. One can be very articulate and intelligent yet boring & unrelatable, the thing we can learn from our Deborah Henry. Having a naturally likable personality is a big bonus.

Which is true, though. However, I’m not sure if she will make it. I think the highest she can land in is in the top 10, or the top 20.

I want to see another woman from Africa to win this year - but how about another country such as Ghana or Nigeria? Nigeria’s representative last year (Olutosin) was the best they’ve sent. They should send Nyekachi Douglas to Miss Universe - I think she can win.

Thank you! I’m not optimistic that the MUO will change their judging criteria anytime soon, but eventually ratings will collapse as most folks want to tune in to see stunning women. They’re not interested in watching woke feminists vie for the position of UN Secretary General. It’s boring. The MUO has been overrun by ultra liberal women who (oddly enough) don’t like women.

Bit unfair to talk of a woman’s hips being too big- the typical body shape for black Southern African women is short torso with large hips, enough of trying to fit into the western standard of beauty

I think Nyekachi Douglas is still under contract with MWO as continental titleholder? Unless MWO is willing to release her from the contract and MBGN Org. will allow to appoint her as Nigeria's representative at 69th Miss Universe if MBGN org. will not push thru their pageant this year?

LMAO oh the veiled racism in this thread!
"I'm not against black beauties but..."
"from black is beautiful to bald is beautiful? that's too far!"
"This is a beauty pageant"
"Her hips are her downfall!"

Can you people hear yourselves? Hiding behind "it's my opinion" to spew racist vitriol.
Your tastes in beauty are as disrespectful as they are pure shit. Shudu is your quintessential southern African beauty. Down there women have wide hips (and strong knees).
Let's not pretend your favourite influencers and beauty bloggers are not going under the knife and risking their lives with Brazilian Butt Lifts to look just like her.

Now let's try that again.

the amount of vitriol and racism in this thread is alarming :-O

Shudufhadzo has a captivating personality and has what it takes to be Miss Universe. A back-to-back is definitely in the bag

I hope she wins just so you can all shut up. IMG ain't going back to the Trump era L-)
