Every new picture I see of NJ, I fall in love with her more. She was my absolute winner back when she competed in Miss Teen USA but she flopped. I'm hoping she can get some vengeance at Miss USA.
Since I only have beauty scores right now she is actually in my top 5, the moment I saw her I absolutely fell in love

I hope they get the best experience in this journey.
My fav interview looks are AL, CA, GA, HI, ID, NJ and MA. I wonder where NY is, she's always impeccably styled.
I was watching Miss IN take over the other day, and it'd be a delight to follow if she wins. She's a dork and truly represents what is it to be a queen from Gen-Z.

Agreed. I'm happy the girls are excited, but gutted that their experience is going to be so not what it's supposed to be.
Some of the girls still haven't had their interviews yet I think. I believe New York is one of the girls who is interviewing today. I don't know how they separated them into days as sometimes it looks alphabetical but then sometimes it's off. I'm expecting a great look from her though.

It's probably a mix, I know Rachel already had her interview and she's towards the end of the alphabet. I'm sure time zones, schedule, etc. worked into it.
Would I be wrong to assume that most of the girls are doing their own hair and makeup for interview (preview of what we may see at finals given the restrictions ?) Or do y'all think they're probably getting it done professionally
NY said her interview is tomorrow 2 days ago, which means that hers should be on the 2nd day and should be done by now, weird.Queen of the Clouds wrote:AUSTIN III wrote:I was able to follow some girls this week, and it makes me happy/sad that they are so ecstatic about the competition. Any rumor about interview judge? I heard the girls saying that it's paula and "a mystery judge". It seems that there're only two judges at this point. Moreover, it will be really interesting who they choose because normally the organisation has already met the girl by the time they reach interview stage. So I guess less biases/more surprises and the emphasis would be more on 'oratory' skill?
Juan Sebastian wrote:This announcement makes me really sad and scared for the future of MUO. I know COVID-19 is a huge issue but when the only host I immediately recognize is Cheslie, it is bad. I am nervous for Miss Universe this year but hopefully they figure something out by then
I would rather have no performer than someone random and unknown.
For the hosts, they should have tried to get a past titleholder who is relevant in Hollywood like Olivia Culpo or Kenya Moore. Olivia did good at Miss Universe last year and did not make it about herself, I am sure they could probably make a deal. Kenya is filming for the upcoming season of Real Housewives and they could cover her hosting the pageant and bring more attention. Or make Cheslie a main host, she works for Extra now so that is her job, it would not look low budget even if it is.
Also Miss Teen USA has got to go, no one cares about it I think it has run its course. Save a ton of money by dropping that

I've never heard of Akbar, but it's good to hear that he's got hosting experience for America Ninja Warrior (then again, Steve Harvey is an experienced host, however he's horrible at hosting Miss Universe, so it's important to remember that 'hosting experience does not a good host make')
I LOVE Allie, I love it when formers host and Allie Laforce is a talented journalist and I can't waaaaait for her.
I've never heard of Christian Murphy, and apparently Google hasn't really heard of him either. The best I can find is his Linkedin as "Head of Enthusiast Brands at A&E" so he's some tv exec.
I'm happy with the selection committee. Formers on the selection committee is always a good thing, and they seldom have big names as judges anymore anyway.

I like Nia Franklin but I would rather see her compete in Miss USA, to be honest. I want Nia to be the first Miss America to become Miss USA and make pageant history with it.Queen of the Clouds wrote:Former Miss America Nia Franklin is judging Miss Teen USA.
