At Miss Universe 2018 (67th edition), Catriona Gray not only won Miss Universe 2018 but also became the first Miss World contestant to win Miss Universe since 1999 (Mpule Kwelagobe) and first Miss World placer & finalist to win Miss Universe since 1992 (Michelle McLean).
Last year Maëva Coucke almost duplicated Catriona feat but she failed to place in the Top 5 just like in her previous stint at Miss World 2018.
Now with several Miss World placers currently competing at the national pageants and the recent appointment of Miss World 2014 Top 10 finalist Julia Gama as Miss Universe Brazil 2020. Is there a chance that another former Miss World contestant will win at the upcoming 69th Miss Universe just what happened to Catriona Gray in 2018?
