Would you watch a Miss Universe Pageant w/ no live audience

Postby stuff » Wed Mar 18, 2020 9:07 pm

Because of Corona Virus many uncancelled sport and public events are held without a crowd.

NBA finals, Euro and Wrestlemania will be held without a live audience. Meanwhile eurovision got cancelled rather that being held without an audience.

Even a talk show was held without an audience.

Would rather have Miss Universe delayed or have the pageant held but without an audience. The judges will be at home and do the judging via streaming.

Audience impact usually affects judges decisions but with an empty arena its only the judges who makes decisions.

I should for the entertainment value the show would bring. The "audiences" should take a look at the fine print of the contractual obligations between the oranizers and the venue management, particularly technical and legal constraints on possible cancellation, before making any hasty conclusions. Should the event push through, show should stage even with hardly any warm bodies in the audience.

Of course I would! It needs to happen, and probably will beginning of next year I suppose.
The production has been using sounds of people clapping and shouting throughout the years, so why not!

Of course! I will watch because of the pageant not because of the fans. Although I will miss the roar of the crowd for Miss Philippines.

I just watch an Audience Less Wrestlemania and its weird to watch. So I have an idea if Miss Universe won't suffer the same fate.

If we cant have live audience. Maybe we can have facecam broadcast of the families, friends and of the candidates and some selected fans, so we get some sort of live reaction.

Image

So the empty arenas wont feel like a ghost town. Select 9 of the small screens will be 9 randomly selected fans and the 10th box will be the family and friends of the candidate.

Makes no difference. The last edition had a live audience and it was as horrible as any event could be. Ugly show, ugly winner. Bah.
