“This day will always have a special place in my heart for 2 reasons: the first being that it is women's day and the second one being that
I won Miss South Africa on this day.”
´・ω・` “This video is so relevant for Women's day as it touches on one of the biggest struggles women face, that being Femicide and abuse. I had two ways to answer this question. I could have easily said every wonderful thing about women but that would have been an injustice to the cries of South African women. I chose the uncomfortable hard hitting truth. I remember when I uttered my first words, you could hear a pin drop in that arena because thats how silent it was for the first few seconds. I knew that millions of people were watching and I wanted to do my part. I wasn't going to change the world alone in those 30 seconds but I believed that my small part was a contribution to a bigger fight. That's what it takes. A collection of small efforts from everyone. May we always find the courage to speak out and act against injustices.” ´・ω・`
“Happy Miss South Africa Anniversary to me! ´・ω・` And happy Women's Day South Africa”
