In 2nd place is the spectacular 100th Anniversary pageant of Miss France, despite the 2nd lockdown and strict curfew in France due to increasing number of COVID cases, they still pulled off a great show with record number of votes and high TV ratings (strict curfew paid off). In 3rd place is the rift between outgoing Mexicana Universal & Miss Universe 2019-2nd Runner Up Sofia Aragon and MxU Org. President & Miss Universe 1991 Lupita Jones. Lupita just survived the wrath from the Mexican politicians then a new drama added when Sofia accused Lupita of mistreatment during her reign but Lupita fought back against Sofia during a training session with MxU 2020 candidates. Later Lupita apologized to Sofia because of the possible withdrawal from the sponsors of MxU if the rift couldn't cool down.
The Rest of the Top 5 as follows: First it was Halima Aden's intention to compete at Miss Universe as Somalia's representative which most of the pageant pages took that bait and hype her without further research. The other one was the cancellation of Miss World, Miss International, Miss Supranational pageants due to COVID pandemic.
