They also appeared more relaxed and spontaneous. Bolivia was a pleasant surprise while Argentina’s answers somehow lacked coherence so there’s the danger for her. Dominican Republic gave good answers (which I expected from a medical student) but her body language suggested a lack of confidence. Mexico was overshadowed by the others. I hope the rest of the Latin contingent are taking notes.
Based on her performance last year, I expected Thailand to make a good impression and she did! She must be under a lot of pressure due to high expectations from fans and it showed but her awesome personality more than made up for it. Japan and Indonesia were pleasant surprises too. Japan will surely ace the Beauty of Face event. She gave intelligent answers but I must admit I had a tough time following her thoughts due to her accent. And Indonesia managed to keep up with everyone and was well spoken. I do want to see more of her minus the contacts lenses.

The rest of the Earth Talks I've thoroughly enjoyed, I've even been posting rankings every couple days on my IG, I plan on fully following Miss Earth this year. Miss Universe turned out to be a dissapointment so I have even more time now
I wish MEO keeps doing these in the future

- COLOMBIA MIGHT CLAP THIS YEAR. 2018 WAS USA. 2019 WAS VENEZUELA. I STILL HAVE NOT SEEN OR HEARD FROM COLOMBIA. I MIGHT BE WRONG (I HOPE I AM WRONG). BUT SHE IS NOT AS STRONG AS, SHALL WE SAY, JULIANNA OR VALERIA. HOPEFULLY I CAN BE PROVEN WRONG WHEN THE PRELIMS STARTS.

Actually since 2016 every year one powerhouse country in Miss Earth claps:
2016 - Philippines
2017 - Brazil
2018 - USA
2019 - Venezuela
2020--Colombia?

I hope so too. I think the Earth Talks even the playing field out a bit. It allows us to get to know the lesser known delegates. One continent that really benefits from these talks is Africa as they get plenty more exposure. During the live pageant, its delegates tend to be overshadowed by more colorful and exciting personalities. Ghana was an exception last year.
I also find these talks very empowering for women as it breaks the stereotype of beauty queens being unable to carry intelligent conversations.

I think South Sudan first joined ME before joining any other pageants too.
