Nigeria will be MW ‘19

Postby jhunz23 » Thu Dec 12, 2019 3:54 pm

With the current trend of diversity & inclusivity,
I believe Ms. Nigeria is posed to win MISS WORLD 2019.
Top Model, 1stRU-Sports, Top 10 BWAP, Top 10 H2H, Top 27-Talent,

We all know that MW can pull a suprise winner like Puerto Rico in ‘16 who came out of nowhere,
But the Last time they had black winner was 2001 courtesy of Agbani Darego!
18 Freakin Years Ago! Damn!

I think MW is about to join the bandwagon with MsU, MUSA, MAmerica & MsTeenUSA,
They wont let Miss Universe rule Africa region, they have to crown black candidate!

Not exactly in the current not-so-secret criteria of Miss World.
Coz if this is the case, Stephanie should have not won.
It would have been true during the time the scoreboard was there.

It’s the GIRL who impressed the judges in the closed door interview!
And this girl, they would put in 1, 2 or 3 fasttracks. But usually not the winner.
There’s a reason why they added Head2Head Challenge!
For fans to have a glimpse on who actually do well in the closed door interview.
But this year, they didn’t show off the Face-Off, so, it’s gonna be a little unpredictable.

But most of the time
The contestant who dominates fast track has a very good fighting chance
This will make so much publicity for MW to join the MsU MsUSA MsAmerica & MsTeenUSA in their black theme campaign!

No
I think They will be runners up or top 10 whatever
Like winners in the past like Mexico, South Africa, Spain, Puerto Rico- they dont need winners to host the contest!

I wouldn't use the leaderboard or FTs as the Bible on who would be the next winner. That was the case pre-2016, but after they discarded it, Julia is the one who chooses her winner whether she placed in many FTs or not.

I'm okay with it. Africa has been long neglected and gets snubbed in the international pageant scene. Miss International has yet to crown a black girl. Not sure with Miss Supranational. Miss Universe is getting a really good mileage for crowning South Africa, even the Obamas are tweeting about it.

But Miss World? Ohhhh, I don't know. It has only 1 set of criteria : Julia must like the girl for her to wear that blue crown on her head. In fairness though, Vanessa Ponce is really deserving of the blue crown, I think she's a goddess. And really smart too.

One things for sure though, this year. It will never be The Philippines. By any remote possibility whatsoever( sorry Michelle, I still love you girl ). I 'm beginning to believe that as long as Julia loves Megan Young, no Filipina will ever be crowned as Miss World again in this lifetime. I hope I will be proven wrong for believing this. I basically gave up.

YES FASTRACK DO DETERMINE SEMIFINALIST AND FINALIST TOO....BUT IN THE PAST SAY INDIAN QUEENS LIKE VANYA MISHRA WHO WAS LEADING THE SCORE BOARD ENDED UP WITHOUT A RUNNER UP POSITION SO WITH KOYAL RANA FROM TOPPING THE SCORE BOARD TO NOTHING!!

I DO SEE NIGERIA BEING THE TOP 3 CONTENDER FOR THE CROWN

Almost every year the girl who placed in the most FTs didn't win, from Yendi Phillips to Maeva (Megan Young is the only exception I can find, although Ukraine placed in one more FT than her back in 2013). So I won't predict the winner based on such performance...

But anyways Nigeria still deserves Miss World Africa this year, and hope she will make the TOP3
