Gabriella is a newcomer to pageantry who won Miss Wisconsin USA on her first shot.

Victoria Sorone Johnston
Of the semifinalists, 11 were included in my top 15 prediction, while 3 of the finalists were in my top 5 prediction. I did not see this one coming. I didn't even predict Gabriella to place, let alone win. Her headshot was just not impressive, and I honestly found her final answer to be the worst of the bunch. I don't know how she won in all honesty. Clapper at Miss USA.

Newcomer to pageantry?????
This girl is competing in Miss California USA pageant since 2012,She competed there 4 times(she competed In the Miss California USA pageant 2012,2014,2015 & Finally in 2017)She was a clapper in all of her four attempts there, falling to make it to the top 20 every time she competed. Clapper in California
So now, three years after her last failed attempt in California,Gabriella moved to Wisconsin,a state that has a much much much much much fewer contestants then in California(only 37 contestants in Wisconsin compered to over a 100 in California)and she wins in her first attempt in Wisconsin,a much more easy state to compete in the Miss USA system.moroever'in march she is gonna be already 28 years old so lucky for her that the Miss Universe organization raised the age limit in the last years, otherwise she would be out of pageants

Well it looks like it'll be a bloodbath in Tennessee too, the south is looking strong this year. Rayni Lasley (1RU 2019) is the only 2019 runner-up returning, but there are a number of other notable contestants and promising newcomers. Other 2019 returnees are Lydia Hollis (Semifinalist 2019) and Katherine Rogers (Semifinalist 2019), while some other notable girls include Erica Meredith (Semifinalist 2015), Emily Suttle (Miss Tennessee Teen USA 2013), Sarah Yarbrough (4RU 2015, Semifinalist 2017, 2014, 2013), and Morgan Simpson (1RU Tennessee Teen 2017). And these are just the girls who are already known, there are a number of gorgeous newcomers who could take the crown: Justice Enlow, Wendy Gipson, Blythe Neal, Savannah Cavanaugh, Carsyn Hughes, Kalina O'Brien, Taylor Gipson, Marybeth Arnett, Camryn Clark, Karli Space, and LeAnna West. Wendy and Taylor Gipson are sisters.

You left out Ariell Gipson! I wonder if this is the first time 3 sisters have competed for a Miss title in the USA system. Out of the 3, I think Wendy has the best shot.

because she was a four time clapper i had absolutely no record of her. she'll clap again in miss usa too, the girls a mess. idk how she managed to win in wisconsin, even though it's smaller there were still girls way more qualified than she was.

Queen of the Clouds wrote:MISS RHODE ISLAND USA 2020 IS JONÉT NICHELLE
Jonét is originally from Connecticut and competed there for several years. She placed as a semifinalist in Miss Connecticut USA 2018, 2RU in Miss Connecticut USA 2017, was a nonfinalist in Miss Connecticut USA 2014, a semifinalist in Miss Connecticut Teen USA 2013, and 4RU at Miss Connecticut Teen USA 2012. Between 2018 and 2019, Jonét moved to Rhode Island. She is a cheerleader for the New England Patriots.

Miss Rhode Island USA 2020: Jonét Nichelle
1RU: Frances LeBlanc
2RU: Alexa Papigiotis
3RU: Sarah McGill
4RU: Abby Mansolillo
Top 12:
Alexandria Capolino
Angela Pierre-Louis
Camilla Akbas
Lindsey Armstrong
Roxanne Ribot-Gonzalez
Stefani Dzikiewicz
Tia-Alexi Roberts
Aside from Olivia Culpo and Anea Garcia, Rhode Island does not typically send high-quality girls who go on to do very well at Miss USA, so I never have too high expectations. However, I do think that Jonét is a good choice. She wouldn't have been my top pick of all the girls (I do think Frances was robbed, she should've won both last year and this year), but Jonét is a quality delegate for a state like Rhode Island. Do I think she'll place? Probably not, but we'll see. Also super happy to see my girl Alexandria Capolino making it to top 12. I hope she continues in pageantry (she is not really a pageant girl) and eventually wins the title.

Of the Gipson sisters, only Taylor made the cut (I really thought it would've been Wendy).
Queen of the Clouds wrote:Miss Hawaii USA hasn't officially published their contestants yet, but the state directors are so professional with their pageant that they're already doing public appearances with all the girls (most states don't even do ANY public appearances with their contestants). I think all the states should take some advice from the Hawaii state directors on how to run a pageant well.
I think I recognize Miss Waialua Elizabeth Pualani Armstrong (3RU 2018; afro girl on the far left in first pic), but nobody else really. From these candids Miss Waikiki and Miss Kaimuki seem very promising to me. The Hawaii state directors are also amazing at transforming girls and preparing them for nationals so I have so much trust in whoever they end up choosing.
