over-compensation has reached a new level in musa this year, all thanks to img.
did they actually include all the black contestants this year to the top 10? they are not even that good
img should gone all the way and kicked out minnesota or alaska or NY or TN to make way for hawaii coz she's taiwan immigrant!
goddess like utah and nevada are sacrificed to make way in the name of "inclusion", what a joke
they should have named this year compeition as MISS BLACK USA 2017 instead

How many years are there with the Top 10 or even 20 where the women are majority White. All the time. If they are lucky they get 1 black girl to enter the semis.
I agree Utah and Nevada were amazing but who knows their interview may have been crap. They're looking for a conplete woman and the organization says it over and over again. A woman who is confident, a woman who has substance, and is beautiful inside and out. Smizing, pouting your lips, or walking with your hands on your waist does not make you confident.

Stop the BS of throwing racism everytime someone makes a statement about black people. The TS is just stating his opinion. Throwing racism everytime u disagree with someone's opinion is bigoted. I love the winner!
BeautyBeach wrote:LOL the same old accusation that never gets old, I remember supporting Leila Lopes in 2011 when nobody else did and included her in my Top 16 list and folks in missology were being nasty and making racist remarks about her! I am not a racist, so shut the f*** up trolls!
Just to let you know, California, Illinois and Washington DC was in my Top 22 after the prelims swimsuit competition, so I did recognise their potential, but they never really outshine other stronger contestants, and I was truly blown away by Utah, Alaska and Nevada, and unfortunately two out of three were snubbed by MUO/IMG for the most unexplainable reasons!
And why am I pissed off? Because I have an issue with the direction that IMG is taking! Their agenda in changing the direction of the pageant is getting more and more absurd and it shows in their crowning of this and last year's Miss USA!
IT’S OFFICIAL: ALL THE BLACK CONTESTANTS ARE CALLED OUT, NO AFRICAN AMERICAN IN 2017 GONE HOME EMPTY HANDED, and they purposely chose Washington DC who not only wasn’t the most beautiful, but also wasn’t the one who gave the best answer (sure I’m all for diversity but give the damn crown to Miss India New Jersey Chhavi Verg who gave the best unrehearsed answer!), all the signs are pointing at the intent of making the history of crowning black-to-black, are you saying it’s not “purposeful selection”? (I wouldn’t go that far and call that rigging of course but it sure stinks of that)

If you are ranting because the African-American women made the majority of semi-finalists this year, just please. That is just insensitive and ignorant. I'm sure you wouldn't rant if all the African-Americans were left out even if they performed the best.
