Edymar Martinez :: A well deserved victory There is no doubt that the sash Venezuela carries a heavy weight. In one instance, a candidate was actually advised to mingle with Miss Venezuela so that she will be noticed. With 7 Miss Universe crowns, 6 Miss World titleholders and two Miss Earth winners, it is easy to see why Venezuela snagged its 7th Miss International title.A Miss Venezuela is a threat to anybody else. She is expected to be highly competitive, should be very confident, very well trained and thus has a greater chance of winning. But when Edymar Martinez landed in Tokyo, she was not like what one would expect from a bearer of Venezuelan sash.Edymar was more like a teenager. She enjoyed every moment of the competition without being competitive. She mingled easily with everyone else and as one Missosology correspondent points it out, it appeared that she was not after the crown. The easygoing attitude of Edymar allowed her to compete without the unnecessary distractions. Of course, she did want the crown but she did not pressure herself. Instead she went with the flow, enjoying every moment and did her best. The crown came upon her naturally. Thus, Edymar is the embodiment on what they call in the pageantry world as an effortless beauty queen.
Being confident and freeing yourself from pressures are perhaps one of the many keys to victory. The attitude of Edymar can be best summarized as do your best and leave to the judges the rest. With victory she was ecstatic but had it been a defeat, there is no doubt that Edymar will also be gracious. She is genuine and irresistibly lovable – things that did not escape the judges attention. Edymar mastered the art of striking the right balance between being confident and being humble and thus without any doubt, she truly deserves the Miss International 2015 title.

She deserves at least to be Miss World or Universe! Had she gone to Miss World I think she can easily win too!
