MISS UNITED CONTINENTS JAPAN 2015
Anri Okane (20) from Osaka.Standing 180 cm tall, Anri was only 19 when she joined the Miss Universe Osaka pageant which she eventually won. Being one of the youngest finalists that year, Anri went on to compete at Miss Universe Japan 2014, and was adjudged 4th Place.
Since then, Anri has temporarily quit pageantry and concentrated, instead with her university studies. During her free time she has been working as a ramp model, and a tourism ambassador for her hometown.
Anri was very excited to become the first delegate from Japan to compete at Miss United Continents, and she prepared extremely hard before she left to this exotic South American paradise. Aside from winning the title, she also aims to promote Ecuador as a tourist destination through this competition. She is determined to erase the wrong notion that Ecuador is a dangerous country for foreign tourists, and also said in an interview before that wants to visit the Galapagos Islands.
Currently, Anri is enjoying her time visiting major cities and tourist spots in Ecuador. The Courtyard Marriott in Guayaquil was her initial host hotel, and from there she has traveled to several cities like Cuenca, Ibarra, Salinas and many others. She was adjudged 3rd in the national costume competition, with a sexy silk kimono that was designed and created for her by KAMUI.
The Official Miss United Continents final gala will be held on September 12th, and will be streamed live from the Teatro Centro Cívico Eloy Alfaro in Guayaquil. 28 women from six continents are competing for the title that is currently being held by Geisha Nathali Montes of the Dominican Republic.
