Nope She was crying because she didn't understud the question and she actually doesn't speak well english so was very difficult moment for her and for the organization that Supposedly provide a Japanese translator, that is a shame.
Also the question was so ridiculous that when get translated sounds like Colombia where asking her to revel or disclose some kind of" Japanese state secret" how her Country became leader; so thats why she was like "no no no secret...". was terrible moment.
My question is how she will be promoting the Colombia coffee around the world if se don't have a trasnlator next to her and she don't even speak english only Japanese.[/i]
By promoting the Colombian coffee to the Japanese market alone, that will be HUGE boost for the Colombian coffee bean trade. Colombia is the third largest exporter of coffee beans to Japan. In terms of volume, Brazil and Indonesia are the Top 2 largest exporters to Japan. However, when it comes to quality coffee, the Colombian and Guatemalan coffee are regarded as the best here. It is actually for that reason why Starbucks coffee started to sell Colombian coffee in their stores, in which the Japanese would buy in pouches. In Kaldi Store (a famous coffee bean chain store in Japan), the Colombian coffee is the most expensive, but is the best selling one.
The winner of RIC does not have the job to promote Colombian coffee to the world. She will promote Colombian culture in general, but her pictures may be used as a "poster girl" for coffee ads. Just imagine how the Brazilian coffee makers would react if a Brazilian Reina would promote Colombian coffee? There has been 8 winners from Brazil in RIC!
