Working hand-in-hand, with designer Louis Pangilinan, this masterpiece has raised the bar in terms of Filipino craftmanship, truly an exquisite work of art!
Inspired from the Bulaklakan Festival which is held during the 1st of January, the costume was executed in ball gown style, hand-embroidered and embellished with hand-painted art in the lower part depicting the flamboyant New Year’s Day of the locals.
Recycled materials were used for the 3D flower in the waist area made by Hannah herself.
Accessorized with back dress and fan filled with massive and vibrant array of flowers and ‘Singkaban” which is a decorated bamboo arch as a representation of welcome signage of a town or city in the country.
The artisanal spirit of the costume stands for progress, dignity, and celebration.

gandapil wrote:Congratulations to Rowena! You were amazing.
Based on the content and manner of answering the final 5 question, evidently, the crown should have been between Ghana and Philippines. Rowena deserved a higher placement than 4th runner-up. Before the top 5 were announced, I noticed how the production crew loved to focus the camera on Kosovo, who got much longer tv exposure than anyone among the 15 semi-finalists.
What is one implication of Rowena's achievement to her being a contestant of Bb. Pilipinas 2020? Logically speaking, Rowena should be awarded the title Bb. Pilipinas - Globe. I think, Rowena doesn't need to compete with the other 39 girls anymore.

HIGANTES QUEEN
(Notes from the designer)
An interpretation of the traditional Maria Clara costume inspired by the giants of Angono’s Higantes festival.
This joyous event is celebrated every 4th week of November, where paper maché or "higantes" are paraded on the streets of this historic town.
The material used is traditional piña highlighting its remarkable characteristic, the fibrosity.
As she turns around, Maria Clara is transformed into a bright, colorful and towering Higantes we see during the annual parade. A unique piece, emblematic of Rizal's rich culture.

They are not recognizing her 4th runner up finish.
This organization is something.
Legalities are still above anything for them.
Although, they didn't do anything on the case of Eva.
Why didn't they interfere when they were negotiating to appoint her. They should've appointed anyone from their past queens and didn't let this happen if they are really at it.
I feel sorry for ROWENA.
But still, the Philippines recognizes it.

“MOUNTAIN ENCHANTRESS”
Notes from the designer
This creation is inspired by the mythical goddess of Mt. Arayat, Maria Sinukuan— a Kapampangan sun god of war and death who lived on Mount Arayat. She is also dubbed as the sacred protector of the mountain and the animals that surround it.
Pampanga is known as a natural bird haven in the Philippines, wherein 14,000 kinds of nomadic birds gather each year in the swamps as a stopover before continuing their migration to different parts of the world. These birds are important to humans in various ways — such as providing natural fertilizers and dispersing seeds all over the mountain.
This goddess characterizes kindness among animals and generosity to its inhabitants. This ensemble is a magnificent symbolism of the rich and colorful heritage of Pampanga.

GOLDEN KALESA
Notes from the designers
Kalesa was introduced to the Philippines by the Spaniards during the 18th century. It has served as a deluxe mode of transportation that only the rich and high ranking officials can afford. It used to be the king of the road long before the jeepneys arrived.
The kalesa is a carriage with two large wheels on each side, a roof to protect the passengers from the glaring sun, and it is connected to the horse that pulls the carriage.
Gab will be donning a golden kalesa that represents the shades of her hometown, Borongan City, Eastern Samar. She’s wearing a mesh body suit that is embellished with thousands of golden swarovski crystals. The carriage is adorned by handwoven mat or most commonly known as banig, one of the major products of her province. The wheels of the kalesa is decorated by two golden suns, living by her hometown’s monicker ‘The City of Golden Sunrise’.
