A lot of promising and BigFour calibre contestants!
I just hope that they will change the pageant title to a more unique one like Miss Galaxy or Miss Milky Way, since it’s where some former candidates of Miss Universe, MW, ME, MI meets.

On the other hand, the word "International" has been so overused already in pageant circuits that it confuses us most of the time and cheapens our impression of some pageant organisations. I think the organisers of Miss Charm International need to get rid of "International" and replace it with something else that still connotes a worldwide competition. I will fully support this pageant because it is brand new. By the way, what is the platform of this pageant? BPCI needs to get the franchise of this brand new pageant in lieu of that obscure pageant from Thailand where its contract with BPCI had just been concluded recently.

But the Miss Galaxy is not an international contest.
Never heard of Miss Milky Way
Maybe it’s better Miss Andromeda or the name of the constellation (group os star) which they believe the ancestors of humanity came from thousands of years ago.

The height of desperation for a crown. Three “micro” pageants (as someone here has aptly described them) and a cooking show.

He seems to have more than enough money to waste. If he were smart, though, he’d invest them in more “micro” pageants that would yield better results than his flopping effort at Julia’s cooking festival.

There once was a Ms Charm International hosted by Thailand in the mid 80's. The Philippines fielded its first delegate (a Ms Milagros Gurierrez?) who was adjudged 2nd runner-up on that year. Ms Gutierrez was supposed to be followed by Ms Ma. Isabel Seva, Mdm, Stella's girl of choice from Bacolod but the pageant did not materialize even as early as its second year. I have no clue as to why. I have no idea if the pageant that Vietnam is staging for 2020 has anything to do with its older Thai counterpart. Can someone stand up and clarify if he/she has background info on this new development.
