I would choose Uluru and the Sydney Opera House, which are natural and man-made attractions respectively, to show how diverse Australia is.” The brunette who stands at 175cm tall originally hails from Doboj, Bosnia.
MISS CHINA: During weekends, she likes to play a few rounds of badminton and a couple of frames of pool. Song Jia is passionate about hospitality and communication skills and has plenty to say on those topics. “It is important to use the media; such as radio, television and newspapers, to promote tourism. I also think you have to improve the communication skills of tour guides and hotel staff so that visitors have a good time,” said the 23-year-old full-time student. MISS INDONESIA: Working as a newscaster and emcee, Ofalyn Octarya Sitepu, 20, represents her hometown of Medan, Indonesia. She hopes to convince her fellow participants to follow her to Indonesia to see how beautiful her country is. “As a tourism ambassador, I would upload the photos of the tourism attractions in my country online to websites, Facebook and so forth, so everyone can see easily how wonderful Indonesia is. I will accompany them to visit all the great tourism attractions in Indonesia and look after them so that they can tell everyone that Indonesia is a beautiful country full of friendly people.” The brown-haired beauty (165cm tall) enjoys dancing but her true love is travelling. She considers Borobudur and Bali to be national treasures of Indonesia, stating that the ruin is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, while Bali has been called the “Hawaii of the southern hemisphere”.
MISS KOSOVO: Kristjana Duhanaj believes that her country has the friendliest people on Earth, because a common custom when greeting each other in Kosovo is to give the person a hug. The 18-year-old, who is still in high school, has big dreams when it comes to being a tourism ambassador. “One way to promote tourism in Kosovo is by inspiring people to visit the country, mainly because of the different cultures we have here. It’s doesn’t matter where in the world you are from, you will love the food in Kosovo!” The eastern Europian beauty comes from Vasteras, Kosovo, is 173cm tall, brunette and enjoys swimming, going to the gym, and spending time with her family.
MISS MACEDONIA: Klimentina Naumoska, 19, who likes listening to music and dancing, is a law student. She said she would like to promote Macedonia’s beautiful, natural and amazing culture. The gorgeous brunette, who stands at 173cm, is from the town of Ohrid, Macedonia. She holds Lake Ohrid dear to her heart and highly recommends it as a tourist destination. “It is one of Europe’s deepest and oldest lakes. Besides the lake, our ancient churches are also a popular tourist attraction in Macedonia.”
MISS MALAYSIA: Her hometown of Penang holds a special place in the heart of Jun Yong. Thus the 168cm-tall student would love to promote the island to her fellow delegates and other visitors. “George Town, Penang, was recently accorded a listing as a Unesco World Heritage site. The well-preserved heritage buildings here are breathtaking. As Penang is also regarded as Malaysia’s food capital, the fusion and multiracial dishes will be very enticing for tourists, especially if they are feeling adventurous.” Yong noted that Malaysia as a whole is simple amazing, from its “incredibly diverse cultures to the pristine reserves of Mother Nature”. The 20-year-old enjoys singing, dancing and reading.
