What a beautiful adventure life has hurled my way. The opportunity to connect with such wholehearted Environmental warriors, and engage with our communities in a whole new way, sustainability in mind.
So honored to have been a part of such an AMAZING Greening initiative at Shukumani Primary School in the local township of Thembisa. #StefanuttiStocks and #FoodAndTreesForAfrica are real champs for being so proactive about making "Green Initiatives" a reality for these young kids. We planted over 180 indigenous and fruit tree, and community members of Ecaleni Section got to each receive the gift of a tree and some compost to start their own vegetable/fruit gardens. I am proud of the willingness and teachable spirit expressed by these future Green Warriors.
First clean up of the #7IN7Campaign with the learners of Molebatsi High School went exceptionally fantastic. What a way to launch into a new transition. These young warriors are such Champs, we were discussing solutions to ensuring that waste reduction in the community is maintained and sustained in the long run during our Clean-up. One learns so much through engaging and living sustainability with others. I'm so honored. "If not you, then who?"
"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot about making a difference, nothing is ever going to change." - Dr Seuss
Day two of the #7IN7Campaign with the grade 11 learners of Ithuteng High School in the North West province. These young braves teach me so much about accountability, stewardship and gumption with these clean-ups, I can feel my own heart transforming and renewing its mindset about my ability to make a green difference.
Day 4/7 of our #7IN7Campaign. The green Warriors of TUT Arcadia Campus have been such a refreshing bunch to work with. Cleaning up our @natzoopta together with @sanbi and our wonderful @missearth_sa Irini @irini_moutzouris. So thankful for all the passionate environmentalists who connected with my vision regarding this campaign, and supported me. None of this would be possible if we didn't combine our efforts, and equally carry the responsibility. Looking forward to the remaining days and greening more communities
