ravissante wrote:In fairness to you, you were not one of the active victim-shamers in the forum. In fact, if I remember right, you were one of the few who expressed outrage at what transpired. Where we part ways though is as to the responsibility of ME. You believe as most of you do here that ME has no responsibility. While ME did not want the incident to happen, it did happen under their watch. And for that, there is responsibility. The issue has not died down because the wound festers. For healing to begin to occur, the pageant must own up to its shortcomings. And start the process of moving on. For you guys, anyone who suggests that the choice of Ibasco was wrong (my only issue with ME previously) or that ME has any responsibility for the harassment is a HATER. Fine. I'll gladly wear that tag if only to ensure that this forum does not become an altar for the crazed adoration of and fierce devotion to ME. What Miss Global 2016 1st Runner Up CJ Hirro has to say is quite appropriate:
"Sexual harassment in the pageant world is REAL, and oftentimes, it's the organizers that pave the way for it, whether intentionally or otherwise."

Walang nag tutulog tulugan dito baka ikaw lang at yung sumisingaw mong hate towards Miss Earth. If you have the luxury of time go ahead mag back read ka para makita mo na lahat ng sexual harassment issues from different pageants are posted and explained from various sources.
Ravissante has always been a hater. Even before this issue, she has nothing good to say to ME. What do we expect?
And for this creature’s information, no one is sleeping on this issue. We are all enraged about it. But what can posting same old allegations against ME everytime a beauty queen speaks her mind about sexual harrasment do will accomplish except demonize ME? We know your intention, fool! It is not for the girls themselves but just to discredit MEO...
I definitely don’t believe that MEO has no responsiblity over that sexual harrasment issue for God’s sake! I am actually campaigning for them to apologize to the girls because whether they admit it or not, the girls experienced that during their care!
When it comes to Ibasco, hasn’t it proven this year that a non/underwhelming performing candidate will not win even if she’s over gorgeous? Or if other girls have performed better than her, in the final night? Portugal, Philippines, Italy comes to mind. Isn’t that the same with last year?
What I am saying here is that I haven’t seen you say good things about MEO before and when the issue surfaced, here you are brandishing your criticisms about the organization. Have you been fair to MEO since the start? Have you weighed all the presented evidence and statements? Have you seen how the girls or some of them are stretching the issue? Now, I’ll ask again, what is your real purpose for posting CJ Hirro’s comment if not to diss MEO and its supporters? Because I can’t find anything that it will accomplish. The sexual harrasment issue has already been discussed at length in the previous pages.
