Stop using the word “we”.,
Lots of forumers have not seen anything wrong with ME and it’s winners.

I agree with you, your opinion does not reflect the views of those who are outside the missosology forum or some members here. I would agree if I heard at least one National director complaining about the result of Miss Earth. You call it scam but you also have to understand that Miss Earth is true to their advocacy.

Let us not fool ourselves in believing dat ms earth was intended to FIGHT FOR ENVIRONMENTAL CAUSES. The beauty pageant platform trivializes real work on d environment performed by scientists, researchesrs, academics, n environmentalists who risk their lives fr higher causes. Ms Earth fr all intents is a beauty pageant that exploits women frm all over the world in d guise of a worthy cause to save mother earth. Wat have they acieved in terms of saving mother earth still has to b assessed. But this is really contest a beauty pageant where participants strut in gowns, costumes n bikinis in heavy make up. All dat crap abt knowing everything abt d environment does not necessarily make one an appealing or charismatic promoter of d environment. If dat is d case, den why not engage d women thru public debates or exams to test der depth on envi issues. D fact dat u use 80plus women, make dem strut around in gowns n Bikinis to push d agenda of CAROUSEL only emphasizes dat using d environment is good businesses ness. Thats d long and short, d bottomline of MS EARTHs existence. The pinoy org is riding on d SAVE MOTHER EARTH BANDWAGON to make a profit. D vision of carousel is d same as d vision of julias ms world n imgs ms Univ -- to make lots of money. It would b interesting to know if carousel shares significant sums to minimize climate change, deseertification, killing of whales n other wildlife, or even stopping d Forestation in d Sierra Madres. If d answer here is not significantly, den its really a beauty pageant just like all d rest. It can associate itself with d UN et al but learned people are not easily duped. If ME were to attract or grab people's attention, it has to do a good job in ensuring dat der expoitative selection process generates d most charismatic earth warriors, endowed with physical qualities of a genuine beauty, someone universally appealing n beautiful inside n out. After 15 yrs in existence, n four winners frm d phil, carousel has to b sensitive to feedback from d viewers n followers of ME. Future winners hve to hve more heart n passion. She doesnt hve to b a good english speaker, or b steeped in d environment. She has to b glib n clear in her thought process, passionate, charismatic n physically beautiful to b called a queen. People look up to ideals. I think w had enuf of Ms Earth warriors from d Phil. ME HAS TO LOOK BEYOND THE PHIL TO PROMOTE ITS BUSINESS INTERESTS IN OTHER SHORES. Just saying

It picked up again when they crowned a very deserving Nicole Faria in 2010 and then went way down the gutter again when Imperial became part of the top 4 the following year and Stefanowitz the year after. The pageant went to yet another low when Ong became the winner just a year after Philippines won. The coronation of another Filipina last night could very well send the organization to the gates of hell. Well, it is based in Manila which was likened by Dan Brown to Dante's gates of hell, so it would not be a long and arduous trip. They just have to make sure they use an electronic jeepney, so their trip to hell would still be eco friendly.
Colombia was more deserving to win. Her answer was unrehearsed and fresh as opposed to the cliche that Philippines gave. Did you also notice she recycled her parting statement in her Top 8 question? So it's not only garbage that she is recycling, but her answers too. Thailand may have choked a bit during her Top 8 hashtag round, but why exclude her when she still gave a somehow understandable answer yet they crowned Czech Republic in 2012 who obviously did not answer the question?
Honestly, the biggest take-away here is that the Miss Earth Organization has a huge bias towards Filipina queens. It is a pageant made to glorify Filipinas who can string a few sentence in English who can walk in heels and look okay in a gown even if her face can only be loved by her mother. This is not new though. Back when Carousel was producing Miss Asia Pacific, can you guess which country got the most number of crowns -- Philippines. LOL.
The problem with Miss Earth is not its stage or production, it is their selection process. No amount of B-list international guest stars can hide that the system is flawed when the likes of Untalan, Imperial, Stefanowitz, Ong and Ibasco keeps on getting through. Because ask yourself, send these ladies to Miss Universe, do you think they have a chance? The answer is a big NO.

Prepare not just your physical looks, pasarela and wardrobes. The Ms Earth Org is looking for a spokesperson who can promote its advocacy. Unlike other pageants, Ms Earth counts and will consider INTELLIGENCE over physical beauty to serve its mission on promoting the Environment.
Therefore, you still have 1 complete year to look and train your "candidates to be" to have a full knowledge about the Environmental issues with in-depth analysis to conquer the crown.
Remember, Ms Earth is Ms Earth!
