My Miss Earth NI 2017 Experience
For the past few months I have been in the final of one of the worlds top 3 pageants. Were I was placed as one of the top 7 girls in the Richard Centre Miss Earth NI 2017. This is something that I am very proud of and I would love to share my experience of this pageant system and all of the wonderful people I have had the please of meeting.
Entering any pageant can be a bit daunting, as you are meeting 10/15 girls that you probably have never met before and you are constantly going to be comparing yourself to these girls. Therefore when it comes to the Richard Centre Miss Earth NI pageant which is one of the top international pageants, you are in no dough going to be even more critical and self conscious than you normally would.... Are so you would think.
The Richard Centre Miss Earth NI beauty pageant, is the most friendliest pageant I have ever had the pleasure of taking part in. I can honestly not recommend this pageant more than enough. Over the past two/tree months, that I have spent getting to know not only all of the contestants but also Jennifer Taylor who works for one of Miss Earths biggest sponsors The Richard Centre, but also Julieann Mc Stravick who was Miss Earth NI 2016 and also Justine Delia who was also a former Miss Earth. She was Miss Earth NI 2014 and she worked relentlessly alongside Louise Powell to make all of the Miss Earth finalists feel at home.
When it comes to Justine and Julieann, I honestly can not sing their praises enough. These girls were on hand as and when any of the finalists needed then and for that we are all truly grateful. I can genuinely say that we would all have been completely lost without the help of each and everyone of these girls especially Justine and all of the hard work she put into making this experience so memorable.
The Richard centre which is located in the centre of Derry/London Derry, is were we all met. As Jennifer would kindly open her office up to all us girls every time we went into Derry/London Derry.
When I first met the other 14 girls I had no idea that by the end of the competition I would have the pleasure of calling them all my best friends and for that alone I am truly grateful that the director of Miss Earth NI, Louise Powell saw something in my application that made her place me in the final. Therefore my biggest thank you has to go to Louise for bring us all together. For that I am truly grateful, as I am so blessed to have these girls in my life. The whole way throughout the pageant all of these girls were constantly reassuring and helping each other in anyway they possibly could. This was a new experience for me, as a few other pageants that I have entered in the past have not been so helpful or nice to each other. This pageant has honestly restored my faith in pageants and the people that participate in them.
As for the lovely 14 girls who participated in the contest, well what can I say they are as beautiful inside as they are on the outside, know matter what any of the girls were going through or what they needed help with we all knew that there was 14 girls, Justin and Julieann all on hand ready to help in anyway they possibly could.
Image may contain: 3 people, people smiling, people standing and night Now that the pageant is over you're probably thinking that we don't really speak anymore. Well that's not the case... Quite the opposite really! We still have our group chat which is used everyday and our first night out is still currently being planned but will hopefully be very soon.
As for your knew Richard Centre Miss Earth NI 2017 Maire Lynch. We could all not be more proud of you and we are all looking forward to hearing all about each activity that you participate in on your new journey as Miss Earth NI 2017. I could honestly not think of a better person to represent Northern Ireland in the international finals and as always your Miss Earth sisters will be on hand whenever you need and good luck in the Philippines not that you'll need it.
I would just personally like to say a big thank you to all of the judges for placing me in with the other 6 girls as the top 7. As well as all of the Miss Earth sponsors.

I will most definitely be back, so until next time I see use thanks again. Also a big shout out to jump lanes Derry/London Derry for having all of us Miss Earth finalists down for our team building exercise. I could not recommend them enough.
Last but not least the AMAZING Photographics Derry. I have worked with a lot of photographers over the years and Photographics Derry our definitely up there with my favourite. as I can not remember the last time I was this happy with all of my photos and I can not thank you enough.
