SISIHIN ANG INTERPRETER

Philippines and Indonesia were the victims. Though, I love Thailand. She's beautiful, but her speech is blunt. That guy interpreter is her lucky charm.

Don't get me wrong. I'm happy for Thailand getting their first MI crown. I am just angry and upset about the interpreter. The guy must have done all the interpretations, to be fair.

It's not about first or 10th crown, it's all about WHO DESERVES to win. I have nothing against Thailand but I strongly feel Philippines and Indonesia are way better than her. The JUDGES HAVE NO CLUE what they are doing. [-X [-X [-X

ANOTHER INJUSTICE in the world of pageantry hurdled on the Philippines. There was Janine Tugonon who was robbed by Olivia Culpo in Ms.Universe 2012, then came Catriona who was again robbed BIG TIME of a rightful crown in Ms.World 2016 and NOW Patch Magtanong suffered the same fate in MI 2019. How could you cheer all women when in the pageant itself they were robbed of deserving placement. This is TOTAL B#*%S@$T!

Watched Thailand speech again, I really find it blunt. No substance at all. Anyway, she's gorgeous that made her win.

Did the Interpreter really "MESSED UP" the answers of Philippines and Indonesia? What was the exact interpretation of the interpreter? Anyway Congratulations to Thailand well deserved win... :-* :-* :-*

Thailand has the winning aura. I suppose Patch gave an extremely strong presentation when she delivered her speech pero parang may kulang talaga sa kanya. Naging matamlay ang final performance nya.

Anyway, congratulations Thailand. =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

So parang ipa sa roleta ng kaparalan na lang ang pagkapanalo? =O/ =O/ :%)) :%)) Her speech was superb. Tinayuan ako ng bahalibo and my hear beat faster. Para kasing ramdam ko mananalo siya dahil sa speech if speech ang main criterion na para sa mga nasa TOP8. A runner up finish could have bee good - konswelo na lang coz she had a very solid performance until the final speech.

I'm knowledgeable in Japanese but I haven't used it for the longest time. But I was sure the interpreter used some words that were different from what Patch said in her speech. When Patch used "standards" the interpreter used the word "subjective". The interpreter also omitted what Patch said in the last part of her speech about MI's role in women empowerment. In short, the interpreter f*cked up Patch's speech.
I could be wrong but isn't it that the interpreters were given copies of the girls' speeches beforehand. How could the interpreter fail to interpret it correctly? Maybe she was just nervous.

Thailand was not gorgeous. She was no stand-out and NOBODY predicted her to win. She wasn’t even on many people’s radar.

But she seemed so sweet and humble, making her win quite satisfying. Doesn’t mean, however, that the competition was fair given how the judges didn’t fully get Miss Philippines and Miss Indonesia’s speeches.

The translation of Patch and Jolene's respective speech was shitty! That woman interpreter deserved no salary for ruining our show!

However, the judges did understand and appreciate the speeches. They belong to the upper echelons of the Japanese society, and not to mention the five foreigners who also sat as judges with no knowledge of Japanese language.

Just because someone used high vocabulary does not mean that the judges should make her a winner. Remember, part of delivering speech is KNOWING your audience. Knowing your listeners. It's also the same when you talk in court. You have to know the jury and relate to them to the best of your ability.

Why are you asking me? Am I a judge? Do I know what the judges think and what they appreciate or not? Sometimes, it pays to use our brain and think just a little bit before we rant.
