The last edition of Miss International in the Heisei Era made history by being the most number of delegates in the history of the pageant with 77 contestants. Mariem Velazco was the final winner of Miss International in the Heisei Era. In just few more days a new era will begin in Japan as Emperor Akihito abdicate his throne.
