The crown and cape still elusive for African delegates.

Postby ajsy0203 » Wed Nov 15, 2017 8:18 am

At Miss International 2017, 2 delegates from Africa made it to the semifinals but they were eliminated after the top 8 were announced. With the recent developments do you think before the 60th anniversary of Miss International an African delegate will finally won the Mikimoto crown, white cape and the title of Miss International? Do you think more African delegates will send in the pageant and possibly break the 80 contestant barrier in the next edition?

Winnie considered to be a titleholder but no African woman won the title by outright.

Yup. Africa has yet to ACTUALLY win Miss Earth. I do hope that if Africa wins, it's not the typical Caucasian woman representing South Africa, but rather the woman that represents the majority of the people that come from Africa (e.g. Omwakwe, Odemba, etc.).
No more bashers in 2022, please.

Also, watch Dani Walker's video to know more on how bashers can kill with their words.

The elusive crown and cape continues for Africa but Miss South Africa scored their best finish at Miss International by finishing 2nd Runner Up to Miss Venezuela and won MI Africa title (chosen by fellow delegates). It's seemed a 2015 dejavu where Venezuela won and an African delegate won MI Africa and finished 2nd Runner Up?

There is a great group this year from Africa. I see at least one in the top 3 again.

She was being chosen by her fellow delegates as their favorite African delegate so she was named "Miss International Africa" and also won 2nd Runner Up just like Kenya in 2015.
