The organization also kept in communication with Zimbabwe, Belize, Germany and Lebanon (all of which still decided not to compete because it's a CHOICE). You're not that special and it's not the first instance that countries announce representatives close to the start of the pageant. It happens to a handful of countries every year.
Just so YOU know, I never said that other countries are not important to the MWO. Obviously they are, cause MW wants to be the biggest in numbers.
But even you can't deny the fact that when there is a country, such as Finland, that has had THE SAME franchise holder from the 60s, that is something they don't wanna lose and start finding a new franchise holder. Obviously they would have found that from Finland, but it would have meant extra work. I bet it's not easy for any international pageant to each year for certain countries keep looking for a new franchise holder. So when they have a good thing going, they wanna keep it.
And THAT has nothing to do with how well these countries ultimately do in the pageant. So save your breath in barking about how regardless FInland keeps clapping.
