Here she look like Leyla Lopes a former Miss universe from Angola.

Skin bleaching is not a beauty standard in Algeria.
She just needs to be kept elegant and yes everything else can be worked on. She is growing on me as she is making us discover a region / culture of Algeria that we don’t know much about
She has a different southern accent and a very collected persona despite her detractors. She also gained unprecedented national and international attention for a Miss Algeria, which can play in her favor eventually. Even Algerian governement officials are supporting her (and they never talk about pageantry).

I am also just really sad that Nihed Makrika did not go to MW. I hope maybe they can still send her this year? She is just perfect, and I really think she could have been top 10 or more at MW

Thanks Jon! I was awaiting your opinion on this ^^
I agree with you about Nihed and I told her she should compete in MW 2019.
The national director actually said Khadija will go to MW 2020, so perhaps it’s still in the works for Nihed to go to MW 2019, granted they can get their “administrative issues” resolved.

How insulting for her title. I never even heard of this pageant. The only thing that gives me some hope is her saying this is her *first* international pageant as Miss Algeria. So hopefully they have plans to send her to Miss World eventually.

THE NEW QUEEN IS ALREADY 26. I SEE NO SENSE IN DELAYING IN PARTICIPATION IN MW UNTIL 2020.
LAST YEAR'S GIRL WAS GREAT BUT IN RETROSPECT IN DONT KNOW IF SHE'D HAVE GONE FAR COMPETING IN THE AFRICAN GROUP WITH UGANDA AND MAURITIUS.

Nihed is our only chance to place at Miss World now. She has years of modeling experience, a great BWAP and an educated background, double majoring in law and economics.
Khadija can still compete at 27 like Venezuela this year, and to be honest, I have no hope for her placing anyways. She is so rough in every aspect and would make a very weak comeback for Algeria. She has no modeling or charity work experience, she is a high school drop out and can’t even speak French, let alone English.
From her interviews it seems she joined Miss Algeria to get famous but doesn’t have any project or goal in mind. She has the right to dream but she is not what we need to place in MW. Her win was a case of positive discrimination, but there is no substance behind it unfortunately.
