Did the new org and Srta Colombia come to an agreement to appoint her?
Is this just a one time thing?

She was previously crowned as Senorita Colombia 2019 and was expected to compete at Miss Universe 2020. Amidst the lockdown, Natalie Ackermann acquired the Miss Universe franchise of Colombia. Maria Fernanda was initially planned to be appointed but Senorita Colombia org refused to let their reigning queen go.

She crowned her successor and her contract with Señorita Colombia ended so she is free to do as she wishes.

She also had the right to be appointed. This was her last chance and I think she should've been chosen and give Mafe a year to rest. I also felt some type of wat that the runner up was there during Mafe's crowing.i could see Maria's sadness and pain. Technically, it was her crown. I'm also worried that blondes (especially latina blondes) don't do well at Miss Universe.

I really think that there's no such thing as "latina blondes don't do well at Miss Universe".
It really is all about the girl after all.
Argentina 2020 made it, and so did Argentina 2014 and 2006.
Brazil 2015 also made it.
Puerto Rico 2019 & 2010 were also spectacular.
So I really think it's all about the girls themselves.
When was the last time we see a strong blonde latina that didn't make the cut? I can't name them. Brazil 2021 was just all over the place during prelims so her exclusion in the semifinalist was kinda obvious. Venezuela 2016, do I really need to tell the details... So yeah I don't really think there were a strong blonde latina that didn't make the cut because all of them who didn't were not really that strong.
With that said, I hope MaFe's performance and public speaking ability do not disappoint me because I really think she's gorgeous. Good luck to her!
