Let's go back to Miss Universe 2012 when one forumer suggested that MUO (late Trump era) should had invited Psy as guest performer but received negative remarks by forumers..

Also, it would be unsafe for them to fly out, but if they want to, they could just ask a prerecorded performance a la Haley Reinhart.

If MUO wanted to bring back it's lost glory, possibly inviting them could be a huge exposure for MUO and recover their lost revenues?

Yup, but that is an award show on music, not a beauty pageant. If MUO wants to put them, they should just have a pre-recorded performance or they should use hologram technology. I doubt the MUO would need them, though. I would rather see Fergie performing “Glamorous” in Miss Universe, considering she already performed “A Little Work” in the 2017 pageant.ajsy0203 wrote:Mariana Erwin wrote:As much as I want to see Korean pop featured in Miss Universe, I would say the MUO should invite them only if they are in Korea, since that is where they come from. BTS are already appeared in US TV programs like AMA Awards, despite the COVID pandemic in California.
If the MUO wants to make more money, they should let other countries participate if they can afford it. Also, they should utilize the culture of the country they are hosting in. I never saw anything Georgian in Miss Universe last year. There wasn’t much highlight on the cultures present in the U.S. state of Georgia and it was too generic, although Atlanta is a different place from Las Vegas. I would’ve admired it if they focused a bit on the culture of Georgia but nope, I didn’t see anything there.ajsy0203 wrote:Kakak wrote:I know they're the most popular in the universe but do these people have to be just EVERYWHERE?

I would definitely want to see a better production, not just a generic stage. There should be also more emphasis on the culture as well, even inside the U.S.ajsy0203 wrote:misssimplicity wrote:ajsy0203 wrote:Kakak wrote:I know they're the most popular in the universe but do these people have to be just EVERYWHERE?

Since most of netizens wanted to bring back the "Trump style" production era, then MUO should take the risk in order to regain the trust and increase viewership? We knew that Miss Universe 2019 gave lots of negative reviews.
