A big NO! The judges clearly prefered the other girls in the top 5 or 6 aside from Demi and Tunzi like Colombia in 2016 and Davina Bennet from Jamaica who had the confidence, strong presence and the winning aura that Maria lacked. Tunzi and Demi were too strong and were the clear winners even before the final rounds. Fahsai's styling made her look messy with so much going on especially that wavy curls and the embelishments on the top part of her gown which also did not help her to look statuesque but instead made her body look even bigger. Iceland and evwn USA actually deserved that final spot instead of her. There were other semi finalists more deserving to be a finalist. They were scored too high in the swimsuit rounds even though they have the worst swimsuit figures. The popularity of Miss Universe among the Indonesians and the Thais are a big factor why their delegates made the cut but unlike the Philippine delegates, the ladies from Indonesia, Thailand and even Vietnam did not live up to the hype. Maria and Fahsai did not have the same fierceness and fighting spirits of the Filipinas. They faltered during crunch time. Fahsai being a native English speaker and Canadian University educated even asked for a standby interpreter incase the Miss Earth scenario happens again. that strategy to give her extra time to think while it is being translated to Thai if she did not understand the question clearly showed a lack of confidenece...while Maria...Oh well, this lady was simply clueless. So No! Miss Millenial and Miss Social movement did not deserve to win, with or without the final Q&A.
