"My dearest Catriona Gray
I wish I had more time to get to know you.
In the few times that we set and had conversations I felt your kindness and took in your wisdom.
Happy belated birthday Queen! May God continue to bless your path".

Not if she created an entire advocacy against it.
What a hypocrite.
And yet that doesn't mean her advocacy was wrong in the first place. Don't forget she grew up in a country very much racially divided that is still hurting even up to this day because of it. You don't know what she went through, maybe none of us do here, neither the reason she decided to wear a weave back then in the first place.
So her speech was correct: her country made it hard or even impossible for black people to be recognized as decent human beings, beautiful, or worthy of same opportunities white South African were having. That's something you have no right to judge and say somebody's advocacy is not right. You clearly missed the big picture out of her speech and that's appaling.
It may have been wrong if she wore one during the entire pageant and SA pageant and still gave that speech. But she didn't, she came natural, that was bold to come out looking like that in a beauty pageant, she was strong minded with a strong voice too. She doesn't only stand up for herself, but for other people who face or are facing the same struggles she did in her country. And that's the moment she became a Miss Universe, the moment she gave an answer that connected larger conscientiousness. That's also a reason why her reign was so largely celebrated in international media, and she truly deserved it.
Blah. Blah. Blah. Excuses. Excuses. Excuses.
She is one big hypocrite, period. And an ugly one at that.
Those are not excuses, but facts. Her background says everything about it. You're just bitter and mad that she secured the money bag and is living her best life, while your girl from USA was plain as hell. Go be mad somewhere else, and worry about something else than a girl wearing a weave. tf.

Sorry, no new information nor excusable argument presented here. She remains a hypocrite. Big time.

She was invited
Take a look of this post on Margaret’s insta profile

Apparently her schedule prevented her to attend the invitation ; but still we don’t know what was the important thing that zozi did that didn’t let her go to the gala
She was playing around the apartment with her wigs. Oops!
”Should I do weaves? Or just don an extension? No, I’ll just wear a wig — less cumbersome to remove! Hmm. Maybe not in public during my reign. People have already outed me for being a liar...”

The fact is you all want black girls with white features and when you don't get that you ATTEMPT top drag them through the mud. The relevance of beauty pageants is waning as the relevance of global participation in this forum.

Calling a physically ugly woman ugly is not racist. DUH.
Just because she’s black doesn’t exempt her from being ugly. DUH.
And keep in mind that SHE was the one who created the issue surrounding her lies. Don’t dramatize being an advocate for not using weaves, wigs, extensions, etc. if you’re the first one to violate your own advocacy! DUH.

Apparently you all don't have the ability to extrapolate information, she has never advocated for not using wigs or extensions she said she used them and decided to go natural. You all don't like her so again you come up with a bunch of nonsense. A

The hypocrite is probably having a field day mocking Miss USA and Miss Teen USA when they’re together for “betraying” their African heritage given the different styles they adopt for their hair in the few outings they have.

This forum is just as dead as the world of pageantry, so you’ve got that right.
However, making it appear that black contestants and winners can never be ugly and that anyone who doesn’t think so & calls them ugly is racist IS just as racist and delusional as the claim that the contrived “Black Magic” wins in 2019 represent strong “black beauty.” The patronizing setup is something the black community should be insulted about rather than be proud of.
PS: Miss Universe 2019 and Miss World 2019 ARE ugly. Add Miss USA 2019 to that. Miss Teen USA IS pretty — and so are Miss Universes Ireland and Iceland 2019.
