Why Sarah Rose placed, Andrea T. clapped at Miss Universe 2018?

From a batch of very competitive girls of the Americas only 8 of them made it to the Top 20 but lots of the favorites left out in the list because of given quota to the European semifinalists that were easily eliminated after the opening statement round.

But we are focused on the two controversial North American delegates at Miss Universe 2018. Sarah Rose Summers of USA made it to the Top 5 wildcard semifinalist despite she "bullied" some Asian delegates particularly Miss Vietnam who finished in the Top 5 finalist for not speaking English, while Andrea Toscano of Mexico complained about Thai food and ended up as a clapper.

Set aside the everything and based only their merits of their performance, why do you think Sarah Rose placed while Andrea clapped?

Do you think Mexico was placed under the "MW winner Miss Universe clapper" curse (except for 2013) after Vanessa Ponce won Miss World 2018?

Since '12,If a country won Miss World,it will clap at Miss Universe article:

Megan Young won in 2013, Philippines’ Ariella Arida finished as 3rd RU.

Sarah Rose placed because she is very articulate and for t.v. ratings. The Mexican girl didn’t stand out and her behaviour was her Waterloo.

Correct, since 2012 except in 2013 (Megan-Ariella) when a country won Miss World their delegate at Miss Universe ended up as clapper. So Andrea fell into that "curse" after Vanessa won Miss World 2018.

Sophida would had broken that "curse" had Nicolene won Miss World 2018 instead of Vanessa.

Miss Universe ORG KNEW THE REAL SARAH ROSE SUMMERS COMPARED TO THE OTHERS WHO SAW TWO SECONDS OF HER VIDEO AND DREW AN INCORRECT JUDGEMENT OF HER CHARACTER :)>- :)>- :)>- THERE HAVE BEEN YEARS WHERE MISS USAs HAVE NOT PLACED IN Miss Universe...2016 WAS A YEAR WHEN VENEZUELA WAS CUT FROM TOP 15 MOST PROBABLY DUE TO HER BAD CONDUCT...SO, THE FACT THAT Miss Universe ORG REALLY ALLOWED SARAH TO PLACE JUST SHOWS THAT SHE IS INDEED A WOMAN OF GOOD CHARACTER :)>- :)>- :)>-

The US owns Miss Universe and its sponsors are American, hence the proliferation of undeserving semi finalists and winners from the US all these past six decades of the pageant.

There’s no way the US will make its candidate clap, unless it’s for political purposes or the org or its head simply doesn’t like the contestant, such as Rima Fakih refusing to sleep with Orange Head.

I don’t think either should have made the initial cut, but not because of their social media gaffes. The truth js that they simply weren’t strong enough contenders, and there were far more competitive delegates from which to choose.

Rima is not "Orange Head"'s type anyway and her being crowned Miss USA was more on diversity rather than merit (she came in 9th in swimsuit and 4th in gowns so she barely made the cut in both rounds and the weakest contestant of the final 5). And Sarah Rose didn't "bullied" anybody, what happened to her is the result of FAKE NEWS....accomplished by taking a soundbite, take it out of context and then blow it all out of proportion. Colombia clapped because she was one of the weaker entrants from Colombia in awhile. She either missed the top 20 or scored too low and was replaced by one of the Europeans.

Coz despite being a shorty, Sarah has lots of personality and the girl can really talk. I wouldn't be surprised if she becomes a reporter or something in the future.
