This year, the Miss Venezuela Organization keeps the rights to send Venezuelan beauties to Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss International pageants.

Juan Sebastian wrote:...also why is this in the Miss Universe section if Miss Venezuela still has the franchise to Miss Universe,...
...but he downgraded badly from sending winners from Miss Universe to MGI, and also with all the stuff that has come out about him, whether true or not, still many girls won't want to join one because of that and because Miss Universe is the goal for the majority of Venezuelan girls.

This new pageant may create a buzz initially because of the beauty czar, Sousa, but to sustain its popularity, much more its significance, in the long run are only a few of the challenges it may face.
i can only hope for it to succeed. Goodluck to his quest.

I agree. The same thing happened with Genevieve de Fontenay who was ICONIC in France. Everyone thought Miss France would collapse after she left, and that all the international franchises would follow her. But Miss France has instead emerged stronger than ever and Genevieve is stuck running her "moral values" pageant that no one watches.

1. Miss Gwand International franchise for Venezuela is not in Miss Venezuela Org. hands?

3. If MV 2017 runners-up were appointed to compete at the international pageant MVO will not shoulder their expenses?

As far as I know, there will be seven (7) regional castings, where will be chosen ten (10) aspirants in each event for a total of seventy (70) hopefuls who will attend the final screening in Caracas. Then, this group will be trimmed down to just fourty (40), who will take part in the reality show, where seven (7) winners will be selected to represent Venezuela next year at the following international pageants:• Miss Universe
• Miss International
• Miss Gwand International
• Miss Supranational
• Reinado del Café
• Reina HispanoamericanaThere is a franchise still missing. Up to now, only the Miss/Mr World franchise is in the hands of the Miss Venezuela Organization for the next year..
