MUO KNEW

Postby starphil » Wed Nov 29, 2017 3:46 am

If Asian ladies are getting competitive year by year so making the new system (per continent) will limit all Asian winner in the Big 5 Pageants.
Prove :
1. Rachel deserved to be in the TOP5 but stucked away
2. Mareeya got the most difficult question
3. Bunga didn't place
4. If you sum up all ladies from Asia, Oceania and Africa will outnumber the rest continents, while we only get two spots for Asia only, the rest are wildcards if lucky

SHALL WE BOYCOTT Miss Universe? IF YOU THINK IT IS FAIR, YOU NEED TO GO TO DOCTOR ASAP

And Asia is the biggest market, with a population of more than 4 billion people or about 60 percent of the global population.

I hate IMG.

I doubt Asians will boycott Miss Universe. Miss Universe is part of their being and existence. For them life will be dull n nothing without Miss Universe! :%)) :)>-

But I think overall Asians are being more represented in the first cut than pre-IMG. Remember the days when it was only 1 Asian who made the first cut, and it was usually India?

1. Rachel lost her spark the moment she's not called among the top 4 from the Africa and Asia-Pacific region. She's better during the preliminaries. Obviously, she failed the psychological test brought about by just "being a wildcard" which impacted her negatively.

2. Mareeya did not get the most difficult question, for to a well prepared candidate there's no easy or difficult question only difficult answer.

3. With a very limited spots for the region, Bunga, will have and indeed had difficulty taking a spot. Before her, I honestly thought that anyone from India, Australia, Japan, Korea and even Malaysia must place.

4. I agree. Grouping the three continents together was quite unfair and disproportionate. They should have group the girls from the Pacific with Europe to make it more balance.

And why should we boycott Miss Universe? Its fair and unfair at the same time and I am still fine with it. My only concern about this is that we're going to witness a Miss Universe that will be dominated by the same countries for years just like at Miss Earth. In the end, I am of the opinion that only the wildcards are the ones who are truly sure to pick their placements through their own merits as among the actual top 16 scorers.

I really doubt that Philippines, Venezuela and even Jamaica are really the wildcard contestants.

MUO is just toying with the pageant''s biggest fans.

After the preliminary competition, the scores are reverted back to zero and new set of judges will evaluate the semifinalists. One mistake could cost everything even to this point. Miss Ghana and Miss Sri Lanka scored better than Miss Philippines in the preliminary competition but at the semifinals Miss Philippines scored higher than Miss Ghana and Miss Sri Lanka in the swimsuit round so the back to zero benefited to her. Just like Miss Jamaica and Miss Venezuela who beat Miss USA, Miss Brazil and Miss Canada in the evening gown competition.

Sooner or Later, If African delegates will not step up, Asia could produced up to 8 semifinalists (if MUO will continue with the new format).

Nia Sanchez in her review even told that she thinks IMG did placing Philippines in wilcard (on the order of announcement) on purpose.
