This 21 year old blue eyed babe says the craziest thing she has ever done is enter this competition. But Hayleigh believes in conquering your fears and when she decides to do something, she really goes for it!
"To me an empowered woman is someone who is confident in herself, and that is who I am. I am proud to be an empowered woman because we encourage others to do the same and we are building generations upon generations of women who are strong and born to be leaders."
"I'm proud to be Irish because we're a small nation but we punch well above our weight. We have leaders in music, entertainment, literature and business. Not to mention being known all over the world for our friendliness!"
"I smile from ear to ear when I say I'm Irish, the pride fills me wherever I am in the world. Ireland is a huge part of who I am"
"I love other women and I only seek to empower and support them in any venture. I feel this is the most powerful tool we have. Standing together. Women should always stick together and support one another. Standing together confidently and strong is an important part of what being a woman means to me."

Keep an eye on her. She went under the radar at Miss Ireland 2016 and came 2nd RU. One of the best faces in the competition.

How does one pronounce Aoife and Caoihme?
" I am proud to be a woman because of what we have achieved and what we continue to achieve. Our better world today is testament to the fearless determination and resilience of women in pursuing equality. I am inspired by these women and the many role models today across all walks of life. Women continue to prove we are" as fierce as a lion and gentle as a lamb"
"Being a woman to me is a beautiful thing and fills me with pride. To me, women represent strength and courage. Women have proven this generation after generation. The future for women is powerful and a force to be reckoned with if we stand together."
"Being a woman to me is being a warrior. It is supporting one another and using your voice to empower others to create positive change. Helping other women achieve their goals is just as important as achieving your own goals! Being a woman to me is being strong and someone who is not afraid to fail but gets stronger because of it!"
"I am proud to be Irish because we are a small country but our national day is celebrated worldwide. I love that Irish people carry true beauty inside and out friendliness, determination and our humour or as people would like to say "Irish banter" that's why I am proud to be Irish."
"To me, being a woman symbolizes love, kindness, and beauty, yet we are beyond powerful at our core. We are the bearers of children and through this we are a child's first experience of these traits, thus we are the torch bearers for the generations that follow."

Most of the time I liked them even more than Miss Universe GB but they seem to come with a goal. (British girls) I hope it will be the same for the Irish girls now. Exactly what the new organisator says to send Joanna Cooper was such a waste. She has such a perfect face but I was shocked she was selected so late. I still remember it now and not in a good way
Love the batch for this year. My top 5 would be (for now and in random order;)): Caoimhe O Dwyer, Jasmine Gerhardt, Aoife McGrane (she really deserves it!), Sinead Clifford (I seems the only one who noticed her haha? but really an extraordinary face! reminds me a bit of Joanna) and ofcourse Kelly Horrigan
Others girls caught my attention: Leanne Grey, Aurora Seth-Smith, Cailin Aine Ni Toibin, Alise Murniece and Jill Connolly.
Also thinking exactly the same about Andrea Rooney. She has a LOT of potention, but ughhhhhh that makeup!! Scrolled down her instagram and saw a few good picture with less makeup and I loved her!

Thanks for the compliment. Irish women are very beautiful.
The new national director deserves a lot of credit. That's why I have borderline dedicated this thread to her. She has taken all of the girls under her wing and she knows what she is doing. She knows that beauty queens have something to give and she intends for the new Miss Universe Ireland to be an example.
Agreed. What happened to Joanna Cooper was very unfair, but that was the old Miss Universe Ireland Org. They were useless. I still remember poor Lisa Madden in 2014. She hadn't a clue how to act in Florida and that is because the organisation left her high and dry. They basically quit training the girls after Aoife Hannon in 2011.
I watched Sinead Clifford on Instagram the other day. I don't think she is the most beautiful but the girl has the gift of the gab ! She can really talk and is very confident. I wouldn't be surprised to see her among the top 5, but I don't think she is beautiful enough to win.

Thank you very much! I always like to give my opinion haha
So basically Aoife was Lucky she didn't won before? Haha, or is it the first attempt for Miss Universe Ireland? To be honest I watched Kelly's pictures again and I think she is the girl to beat. She really has it all. I think she has the potential to make a placement this Universe. I always try to look at the 'big picture' and I think Kelly has more chance than as Aoife, have said that I really really think Aoife deserves a big pageant win, she seems like a sweet girl.
By the way, the new national director isn't Irish is she?
