"I'm not go to the strikes to make a Show or just for a Photo"
I have to say that I'm really proud of her. This is the first time a current Miss Venezuela talks about the complex situation in our country, normally this topic is banned for them and that fact that she stood up for Venezuela makes me admire her so much!

I tried to transcript her speech.. Sorry in advance for my bad grammar. (From the minute 00:28)
I almost never wear black. But this night in a beauty pageant which is label as a frivolous event I wanted to bring here the deep sorrow I have for every person that have die on the strikes in our country.
We can’t be indifferent about what is happening in our streets... I have lived it.. and I haven´t been on the strikes to make a “show” or just for a “picture” NO! I have protested for my country, for our health for our human rights and because I WANTED to be there.
I always said... to feel it you need to live it....and I have lived it on the streets of Caracas. Yesterday I was with some friends (former Miss Venezuela’s contestants) and we have to run... We all know why, It’s not necessary repeat it (she refers politely about the government repression)…. And I lived it and I feeled it and I have to be honest I’m not agree with that because I wasn’t doing any damage.
...also I really want to mention about the violin’s kid I love that kid. Sadly in that moment his instrument (was destroyed) every musician knows that their instrument is another part of them and you could see in his impressions that he lost part of his soul (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSvRy9rcgQc). But It is really beautiful is see how Venezuela shows how strong and how beautiful It is in front of any problem… this is what I’m going to bring to the Miss Universe. The Beautiful Venezuela, the Venezuela who gift violins the Venezuela who fights every single day… This is what it means for me… for Keysi Sayago Venezuela (then she shows our flag)….
I’m going to be Venezuela in one of the most important contests… And I want to bring you with me like this…
