If she looks this good during the competition, especially prelims, I'm not even gonna complain about it.

Liz, you already know my sentiments but no matter what happens tonight, the entire Philippines is already so proud of you! Thanks for setting the bar so high for the rest of us...

She and Pia are the only Miss Philippines Universe I’ve actually been a fan of so I’m hoping it would translate into a win too. One can hope! I just feel terrible that her biggest critics come from her own country. But I’m sure she will price them wrong.
Her biggest competition is Thailand I think. I like Maria too, but I guess I’m just not a fan of her type of beauty. Different strokes for different folks! One thing that I notice is very effective with Maria’s run up to the final is her branding. If you look at her IG, most of her posts are from the normal aspects of her life. I think this is a smart move. The new MUOrg now wants to “humanize” their winners. Gone are the days where the invincible girl wins. Now the winner, beyond the good looks, is also human - she has a family, interests, career - a life outside pageants. I hope Rachel will share more of her life with us - the aspects that make her just a normal human being.
Good luck to her!
