I would want to see that again in the pageant, because that is normal protocol if the pageant is not held in the United States. If there are no winners from that state, the most recent delegates (e.g. the predecessor of the host country and her predecessor's predecessor) should assist the now ex-Miss Universe in crowning the newly-elected queen.quelab22 wrote:in the crowning process i really love to see that the winner/s from the host country assisting the reigning queen to crown her successor
Yup, I want the 1st runner-up to be announced before her name - because it gives suspense. If the girl realizes that she is not announced as the 1st runner-up, she only realizes one thing - she is now the new queen.GabrielTheHunk wrote:I'm fine with it as long as it's done fast and systematically: sash, crown, bouquet.
What annoys me is the sequence of the announcement/crowning. Mention the 1st runner-up FIRST, so she'll have her moment, THEN officially announce and crown the winner (and she can get all the attention to herself afterwards).
Another annoying thing is when the crown is placed first, then the one putting the sash cannot reach above the crown, forcing the winner to squat so that the sash could be placed over her head towards her shoulder (so stupid). Or when the one putting the sash is too stupid that it's placed on the wrong shoulder or ends up facing the wrong way!
