TOP 5 Miss Illinois 2017. I'm beyond happy Whitney won, what a classy, wonderful lady. Really seeing her making a placement next Miss USA.

I think Whitney will place high next year, if not win the Miss USA crown. Here is Whitney Wandland in action:

She is captain of the Luvabulls (Chicago Bulls' pro basketball team's cheerleading squad) and a trained dancer. She's only 5'6" [1.68m] though, and there hasn't been a Miss USA below 5'7" since Tara Conner (5'4") in 2004. We have had a couple of 5'7" winners (Olivia Culpo, Kristen Dalton) though, who may have rounded up their actual height. Whitney's "swag" though will likely still enable her to stand out, since she moves very well on the pageant stage.
As for Miss Montana, I actually thought she was prettier in the photo of her with dark blonde hair. I'm not feeling that platinum look on her. She's cute. Just needs proper training and styling, and Montana could possibly crack the Top 15 next year.

i think it's than that makes her look overcooked, I am hoping they tone her down a little for miss usa.She was stunning in prelims with her hair pulled back.
Her body is amazing and she is s great stage performer.I am sure she will be a hit at miss usa.
Now all we need is miss San Juan to go to New York and compete for miss new york usa lol
That would be a serious hit! I want her for Supra. Either way Genesis will be the front runner for a long time. Her strongest point is her Stage Presence and overall presentation. Many won't stand a chance against her so the other States better bring their A Game and pull some real quality contestants to give her competition.
If Genesis win, she would be the first Afro Latina, Caribbean and full Puerto Rican to win Miss USA. Be ready mentally cause she will get GARGANTUAN AMOUNTS OF HATE and Cyber Bullying from people that will do everything to stop that from happening.
Juan Sebastian wrote:2 Black Miss USAs in a row? I think it's possible with Genesis! I know she's the only girl crowned so far but I think she's a sure Top 5/Top 3 minimum. I have a feeling this is her time to shine! Miss USA 2017 will be really competitive and she just set the bar really high. The other states need to make sure they elect their best girl possible in order for there to be a competition.
Nina Cleopatra wrote:So Glad for Genesis. She earned the right given by the Panel of Judges to compete as Miss Florida. The attorney stated the Miss Florida Director said she wasn't an American. I smell big time Bigotry! If a Director decides to remove the right given to a candidate by the Panel of Judges, he should provide substantial and documented evidence to do so. Directors shoulnt just kick of candidates because of reasons coming from their asses.

Disappointed by the batch, considering how impressive Rhode Island has been over the last few years. Tiny state, but big credentials. It looks like the Battle of Last Year's Runner-ups, but I think another girl might snatch that crown.
Top 5
1) Alexandra Curtis
2) Mary Ernster
3) Stephanie Santana
4) Kelsey Swanson
5) Asia Turner
My Winner : Alexandra Curtis

2/5, 9/10. Definitely an easy choice as Kelsey was 2 times 1st-runner up before. Good job Rhode Island, they might earn a spot in the Top 15 next year! Special mention to Asia Turner as her gown looks spectacular! I hope she joins again next year.
2/5, 13/15. Damn, I thought Heidi got this for sure! I'm not sure about Skylar at the moment as I need to see more of her, but to me she's a downgrade. Her chances to avenge for Kate is low. We'll see for her transformation later on.
