Miss Grand International is just on its sophomore year but the pageant has already shown potential of becoming a big competition in the years to come. With interesting pre-pageant activities and a well-produced preliminary show, hopes are high that MGI will also provide the viewers a world-class finale tonight.
There have been clear front-runners since the girls' arrival in Bangkok, some of them have cemented their spots with solid preliminaries performances. Yet, some ladies have come out of their shells and seems to be giving these favorites a good fight. But before the 85 lovely delegates battle it out for the coveted crown, let me present to you my final choices.
Didn't have much time to write comments on each of the girls due to work and personal matters, but I hope you still enjoy my thread.
RUSSIA. We first saw Yana Dubnik in Belarus a year ago, when she competed in Miss Supranational 2013. She was among the heavy favorites back then, but failed to make it to the Top 5 of the competition.
This year, she's back in the pageant scene to claim what is rightfully hers: an international crown. She is considered the face of the competition the moment she set foot in Bangkok. With a good body, stunning face and a nice attitude, Yana surely has what it takes to be a worth successor of Janelee Chaparro.
If MGI wants the perfect follow-up to the Puerto Rican beauty, Miss Russia is the best poster girl for ther "Stop the war" advocacy.
