[font=Times New Roman][color=#663300][size=150][i]Five New Queens of Miss Gwand Thailand 2014
Five Thai beauties were crowned last June 17 at the Centara Centralworld in Bangkok as Miss Gwand Thailand 2014 Queens and will now carry the responsibilities as the newest ambassadress of beauty and to represent Thailand in some of the most exciting pageants in the world.
Crowned as Miss Gwand Thailand 2014 was 23 year old Parapadsorn ‘Plar’ Disdamrong and will be the official host delegate to Miss Gwand International 2014 in Bangkok on October 7. Plar, who also won the award for Miss Photogenic is a Communication Arts student from Rangsit University. This 5’7 tall beauty has won a string of fabulous prizes that includes 1 Million baht cash, a new house and lot, a brand new Chevrolet car and a diamond studded crown.
Miss Earth Thailand was won by Sasi Sintawee, a Hotel Management student from Silpakorn University, an international school in Thailand. This 19 year old and 5’6 tall lass will represent Thailand in Miss Earth 2014 this coming November. On the other hand, 25 year old Ananya Mongkolthai, 5’7 tall won the title Miss Supranational Thailand 2014 and will fly to Krynica-Zdroj, Poland for December 5th final of Miss Supranational 2014. Ananya is an Education student of Ramkamhang University.
Completing the last two titleholders in this year’s pageant were Rangsit University student Patraporn ‘First’ Wang, Miss Intercontinental Thailand 2014 and 22 year old Warangkanang ‘Ploy’ Wutthayakorn, Miss Tourism Thailand 2014. First, an Aviation Business Management student and the tallest candidate this year at 5’10 will compete in Miss Intercontinental 2014 in Germany while Ploy, a Social Science student at Naraesuan University will spend her New Year in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to vie for Miss Tourism International 2014. Ploy was also selected as Miss Gwand Rising Star 2014, a special award that goes with a talent management contract from BBTV Channel 7 Thailand. Aside from Ploy, Natchayakarn Pagwan, candidate number 39 also won the same award, Miss Gwand Rising Star 2014.
The four other titleholders will take home cash prizes ranging from 300, 000 to 200, 000 baht among other valuable prizes. These five main winners will also travel to the Philippines for additional pageant training courtesy of Gouldian.
The spectacular event was hosted by Thai TV Personalities Matthew Dean and Pancake with special performance by Thai Superstar BIE Sukrit Wisetkaew who performed in the evening gown segment.
Nawat Itsaragrisil, President and Founder of Miss Gwand Thailand and Miss Gwand International is positive that these five newly crowned beauties will be a worthy representative of Thailand to International Pageants by providing all possible opportunities for them even after their reign.
And in response to the issues facing Nawat Itsaragrisil and the former Miss Earth Thailand franchise holder, Carousel Productions Inc. (Producer & owner of Miss Earth Pageant) sent Miss Earth Air 2013 Katia Elisabeth Wagner to crown the new Miss Earth Thailand winner. Katia was accompanied in Bangkok by Princess Liezel Manzon, Director of Miss Earth Foundation.
A special project for Miss Earth Foundation was organized by Miss Gwand International organizers to help promote the causes of Miss Earth Foundation in Thailand by visiting Koh Kred, Nonthaburi Thailand, a small island near Chao Phraya River. Miss Earth Air 2013 Katia Wagner joyfully participated in some community projects like pot making and hand painting products of the commu[/i][/size][/color][/font]
