Vinpearl Resort in Nha Trang was one of the major sponsors at Miss Earth in 2007 & 2010.

In 2016 at 4th MGI pageant in Las Vegas, the organizers announced that the next edition of Miss Grand International will be held in Vietnam and expectations were very high from some of the netizens especially the Vietnamese pageant fans. Then they do the promotions seriously featuring the top 5 at last year's pageant and inviting ABS-CBN talent Xian Lim (Bb. Pilipinas host from 2012, 2015-present) and Nicole Cordoves (MGI 2016 1st Runner Up and currently resident judge at popular noontime variety show It's Showtime segment Miss Q & A) to host this year's edition over local Thai and Vietnamese talents.

But suddenly MissGrandSlam posted a shocking news about Vinpearl is reportedly withdrawing as the official sponsor and venue for Miss Grand International 2017 pageant which will be held in Phu Quoc this October 25.

Now the big question is who should blame for this cancellation of contract and sponsorship? What are factors that led to the reportedly disagreement between two parties?

Nawat should just postpone his trying hard Miss Grandma pageant and hold it for next year. To save production, he should consider coinciding it with Miss International Queen in Pattaya City. =;)) =;)) =;)) =;)) =;))

A joint international pageant for transgender women would draw more attention for his copycat pageant with free publicity that he craves. :%)) :%)) :%))

AFTER HOSTING TWO MAJOR PAGEANTS - MISS UNIVERSE 2008 AND MISS EARTH 2010

QUESTION: WHY SHOULD VINPEARL HOST A NO CLASS, NO RELEVANT, NO IMPORTANT PAGEANT?

I think Vinpearl should reconsider it. It would really be unfair for MGI part, withdrawing in the last minute leaving candidates and pageant fanatics in questions where to go next.. I am pretty sure Nawat and his group will resolve the issue on or before the arrival of the delegates. If they need to pay the venue in Vinpearl then do it. Just like MEO did in Austria where sponsors back out in the last minute
