Egypt's censorship board cites these three reasons:
1. An earthquake, not God through Moses, led to the parting of the Red Sea.
2. Showing an image of God in human flesh, something not accepted in Islam, Egypt's dominant religion.
3. Portraying the Jews as having built the Pyramids which was completed 1000 years or so before the time of Moses.
Other countries have followed suit including Morocco. Of course an animated film, The Prince of Egypt generated objections from Maldives and Malaysia over the depiction of any prophets.
Have you seen the film? What is your take? And will you watch the film if you haven't?
