Céad Míle Fáilte, fellow Missosologists !
History was made at Miss Universe 2018:
- The Philippines got it's 4th crown.
- Miss Universe had it's first transgender contestant courtesy of Miss Spain, Angela Poncé.
- Nepal had it's first ever placement when Manita Devkota entered the Top 20.
And...Ireland had it's first ever back-to-back placement at Miss Universe.
I'm proud...so proud of the two women above, who gave us this piece of history.
On 1st August, 2019, Miss Universe Ireland 2019 will be crowned, by outgoing titleholder, Grainne Gallanagh, Miss Universe Ireland 2018. It's bittersweet for me, as I adore Queen GG so much.
Whoever Miss Universe Ireland 2019 may be, I hope she has the motivation that her predecessors had because we know she will have the support of a great organisation like Ms. Mason's Miss Universe Ireland.
Will we have a third consecutive placement ?
Let's wait and see !
